How does returning the devices work?

You are free to choose between

• Us doing it for you. Our customer service will contact you at the end of the rental period, discuss the collection details with you, commission the shipping company, then send the freight documents.

• You organising the collection or even returning the equipment yourself. We are also happy to arrange an appointment outside our regular hours (9:00 am to 4:00 pm).

Please note that if you organise the transportation yourself, the liability for the rental equipment (despite secured rental) lies with you.

What happens to my personal details after the end of the rental period? (login data, files, etc.)

All data such as login data, files, photos, pictures or company-internal programmes are deleted at the end of the rental period in accordance with a defined process. All rented devices are reloaded with the operating system software after use and thus restored to their original state.

Can I buy rented equipment afterwards?

Generally speaking, the rented devices are available for purchase at any time. We will be happy to prepare a tailor-made quote for you.

Payment and security

What is the payment procedure?

For new customers, we run a credit check. If the result is favourable, the order is processed on account. The rental invoice is issued at the beginning of the rental for the  ordered rental period. If the rental period is longer than 4 weeks or 1 month, the invoice will be issued for the duration of 4 weeks or 1 month in advance. If the rental period is longer than 3 months, the invoice will be issued for the duration of 1 month in advance.

When is a deposit due?

In the event of a low credit rating, the provision of a deposit in the amount of the device value may be set as a condition for delivery. This deposit will be refunded to you after the device has been returned free of defects, minus the rental costs.

Am I covered in the event of damage?

Whether you want to avail of our safe-rental option is your decision. Damage and theft (if reported to the police) are thus covered. Our rental advisors will provide you with details of the insured rental.

Please note that if you organise your own transport, the liability lies with you in the event of damage or theft.

How does the rented equipment get to me?

You are free to choose between

• Relaxed delivery by us: We’ll get your rental order on its way by carrier or, for urgent deliveries, via our direct courier. If you avail of our assembly and/or dismantling or
on-site service additionally, we will transport the devices using our own fleet.

• You organise the collection of the devices yourself or even become a self-collector. We are also happy to arrange an appointment outside our regular logistics hours (9:00 am to 4:00 pm).

Please note that if you organise the transportation yourself, the liability for the rental equipment (despite secured rental) lies with you.

By the way, we are the absolute customs clearance professionals. For shipments to Switzerland or outside the EU, we take care of the import procedure from start to finish, including customs declaration. You will not incur any import sales invoice.

Is the rental period binding?

You can extend the rental period at any time. Should you return the equipment prematurely, we will charge 50% of the previously agreed rental period.

Is an operating system pre-installed when I receive the devices?

Our devices come with the corresponding operating system software as standard. We will gladly install your own software, app or image in accordance with your specifications.

Can I rent additional software?

You can rent Microsoft products from us based on the Microsoft SPLA licence.

Can I install my own software or apps?

Of course, you may install your own software or apps on your rental equipment. In the case of drive encryption and changes or settings to BIOS or UEFI, the devices must be reset to their original state before they are returned.

Can the devices also be installed on our premises?

Our trained and certified technicians will come to your desired location. They will install your rental devices and commission them so that you can get started immediately.
